SUMMARY: In this doo-wop take on King Lear,
Larry, the head of conquering doo-wop group the Mustang
Originals, is ready to
divide his estate between his three daughters, Gina, Carla and
his favorite, Carla. But Carla finds herself unable to flatter
her father as her sisters do, and so the vainglorious Larry
divides what was to be her share among her sisters. New guy
Eddie risks his place in the group to warn Larry that he'll
regret his decision. However, Carla isn't going anywhere just
yet; they need her to sing lead in an upcoming show. Larry
thinks Carla's going to demand something in exchange, but Carla
stays with the group because she genuinely loves her poppa.

EPISODE TWO
(9/26/15)
SUMMARY: Larry continues to divide up his estate,
and Gina is miffed when he doesn't think she can handle running
the malt shoppe. During rehearsal, Gina and Rhonda take their
aggressions out on Carla, who later runs into Eddie in the
outskirts of town. Sparks fly between the two. After she leaves,
keyboardist Grease arrives, and Eddie asks him to deliver a
letter to Larry. Meanwhile, prodigal son Gary is back in town.

EPISODE THREE
(10/3/15)
SUMMARY: Gina, who is dating the clueless Al, is
having a secret affair with Rhonda's man, Corny. She confides in
him that she's got a plan to have Larry committed to a nursing
home; Phil, the nice man from the nursing home arrives, and may
have more than he bargained for with Larry. However, her plans
are interfered with by Gary, who knows about the affair and
blackmails her for control of the malt shoppe - and sexual
favors. Rhonda, for her part, really wants to sing lead, but
everyone knows her voice isn't strong enough. Meanwhile, Eddie,
Grease and K-Ten, worried about Larry, pledge their undying
support to Carla.

EPISODE FOUR
(10/10/15)
SUMMARY: Phil tends to Larry, a drooling relic of
his former self, while Rhonda tells Gary she's going to sing
lead someday soon. Rhonda and Gary meet
up with a gang of Latino doo-woppers who pledge their support.
And K-Ten, with the support of Eddie and Grease, declare Carla
the new President of the Mustang Originals.

EPISODE FIVE
(10/17/15)
SUMMARY: An angry Corny forcefully reminds Rhonda
that she's still his old lady, and her dalliances with Gary had
better be strictly business. A distraught Larry realizes that
he's made a mistake by throwing away Carla's love so cavalierly,
and escapes the nursing home to try to find his daughter.
Meanwhile, Carla seeks help from her godmother Louella, leader
of doo-wop group the Cherokee Stacks, asking them to join her.
Louella, who owes a debt to Carla's late mother, is reluctant at
first, but when she sees that Carla and her group have chops,
she agrees to the "patch," and the groups join forces. However,
later that night, Grease is ambushed and his eyes are gouged
out...

EPISODE SIX
(11/14/15)
SUMMARY: A blind Grease leads his people in song,
while a deranged Larry - looked after by Phil - thinks he's back
in the doo-wop wars of '64. Gina's getting frustrated with Al
and misses Corny, who she hasn't seen in a while. Rhonda is also
pinning her hopes on Corny as Gary treats her harshly, but Gary
says to forget about Corny - Gary's her new sponsor. Meanwhile,
Carla warns Eddie, who is Grease's son, not to go seeking
vengeance on his own.
EPISODE SEVEN
(4/16/16) - PLAYOFFS ROUND 1!
SUMMARY: Phil breaks the fourth wall to fill us in on Larry's early days.
Each of his daughters were born of a different mother, as Larry
was quite the ladies' man. But Carla's mother, Gloria, was
different. He truly loved her, but she died young just a couple of
years after he met her. As the sisters grew, Carla was always
the favored one, being named lead singer of the Mustang
Originals, much to her sisters' jealousy. And then came the day
that started off this story, when Larry decided to step down as
leader of the Mustangs and apportion his kingdom to his
daughters proportionally to their love for him...
EPISODE EIGHT
(4/23/16) - PLAYOFFS ROUND 2!
SUMMARY: While Larry's still stuck in his flashback
to the Doo Wop Wars of '64 as a storm rages around him and Phil,
Corny tells Gina they need to wait until he deals with Carla
before she can dump Al and they can be together. Elsewhere,
Georgia asks Eddie to decide between her and Carla, but Eddie
won't make a play for Carla while she's Club President. And
Carla ignores K-Ten's advice not to let Eddie dangle. Carla
tries out a new sax player, Chops, who bolsters the group's
already formidable musical power. Meanwhile, Corny and Gina meet
Jeff, a dweeby new recruit, but Jeff's scandalized when he
learns that they're going against Corny's brother's "old lady,"
and kills Corny in a fight. Gina holds him as he bleeds out,
while Larry continues to rave in the storm.
